Rose and oud - a theme not unexpected from Montale - with both of about equal prominence. Never intrusive. This is rich up with glimpses of lime jelly, which at times has the characteristics of like confiture. The drydown introduces a minimally powdery green iris with a touch of saffron, and a smooth and comparatively bright patchouli; I don't get much harshness there. The saffron is pushed aside by the other notes soon after having arisen. The base adds a light and bright amber, which is underlined by a woodsy impression, including touches of sandalwood. I get moderate sillage, excellent projection and eight hours of longevity on my skin. This autumnal scent is quite agreeable, without any originality. Whilst it is never intrusive and is one of the Montales suitable for the office, it is a bit too generic and synthetic to entice. 2.75/5.

It may be Aoud Lime, but on me it is Aoud Rose, but unlike Montale's other rose scents this does not get strong or heavy on me. The "lime" aspect is just keeping the rose crisp. Patchouly and I are normally not close friends but, like TF Moss Breches, the patch here is in check (most of the time) and does not have a ton of throw (sometimes my body chemistry does amp this).

This is really unique. The Lime is very front and centre and does not dissipate. Very tricky to do. Most citrus scents are notoriously short lived. I LOVE this. As with all Aouds it opens strong but then settles and I believe the aoud anchors and blends the other elements of the fragrance. The lime never disappears but melds with other florals for a fresh but rich fragrance that is one of the first I've tried labeled unisex that I would be happy to wear. Very well done.

I didn't get any lime, just lots of gorgeous aoud. There is a very slight rose note in this, but it isn't nearly as strong as the Red or White Aoud. This turned a little soapy after a while. It struck me as an easily unisex fragrance.

I think this is a wonderful lime fragrance that lasts, and lasts. Best in southern climates, or hot summer! I think it is very masculine. Whover picks up rose is correct. The rose actually produces the lime impression in its special oud surrounding.
