Hermès Paris perfume Bel Ami Vetiver EDT 100 ml

Upon applying "Bel Ami Vétiver | Hermès," I was immediately quite impressed. The scent is truly pleasant and very harmonious. Additionally, the longevity on my skin is convincing, lasting around 12 hours with a successful sillage. The top note starts green, herbal, refreshing, citrusy, and spicy with aromas of artemisia, ginger, lemon peel, fizzy powder, violet leaves, and a hint of juniper berries. The heart note brings a decent leatheriness to the fragrance. I also detect woody hints of sandalwood. The base has an earthy and slightly smoky scent of vetiver, patchouli, and styrax. Although Bel Ami Vétiver is not highly complex, it is still incredibly beautiful and thus appears exceptionally noble and high-quality. I thank Nick for the sample.

This is a wonderful scent. I have been told I smell like pot at times, but in a complementary way.

For something that costs as much as this, the first thing I thought when I put it on was, "are they serious?" The vetiver really stands out too much without much complexity surrounding it, leading one to wonder if it is a cheap knock-off (got mine from Macy's, so it's real). It mellows out quickly to something more pleasant, but not particularly masculine. It smells like a daytime unisex fragrance for office workers or school teachers who rarely smile. When I smell it on myself I get this gut feeling like my 4th grade teacher is hovering over me at my desk helping me with my math assignment.
