La Roche Posay Toleriane Soin Lavant 400 ml

I was always curious about this brand so I decided to try it when I saw a trial size of this cleanser at Ulta. The first couple of times I used this it was okay but then it began to sting and burn each time I used it. I have had a similar reaction to Cerave. Glad I bought a trail size. Not for me.

I live in Toronto but really love La Roche Posay's Dounle Repair Moisturizer so I ordered this cleanser since it was on sale and had it shipped to my US PO Box. I already use this cleanser at home in Canada so I didn't think it would be much different. I do have to say from the first pump I could already tell it was different because it's not as creamy as I'm used to. I have sensitive and dry skin and four days later I could feel that this cleanser is definitely stripping my skin a little . I guess the product formulation in the US is different and my skin doesn't love this version. Will not be buying again.

This is my new go to face wash!! I tried so many other "gentle" brands. CeraVe, Cetaphil, etc. CeraVe burned my skin and Cetaphil was fine, but it took a long time to clear off my makeup when I wore some and would dry my skin a ton by the time I finally got it all off. This cleanser actually takes my makeup off, doesn't burn, AND feels like it actually cleanses. Not in a "ooh I'm dry and irritated" kind of way, my skin just feels so refreshed after!

A gentle cleanser for normal to dry skin types. This is a light creamy cleanser that is fragrance free. I have been using this in the morning and like how my skin feel after washing with it. I would not use this at night as I don't feel it is strong enough to remove the day's grime, sunscreen and makeup.

I had to get rid of this. I felt a slight tingle while on my face. After several days, my rosacea became inflamed with some breakout right on my cheeks which only happens when aggravated. I also got dry patches on my cheeks. As soon as I tossed this, my face was back to normal (for me). I noticed my skin was overall more sensitive throughout the day while using this. The price isn't bad if it works. As it was, this was a $16 sample.
